People & Governance

The Digital Determinants of Health Hub is structured to ensure independence, accountability, methodological rigour, and meaningful participation, with clear separation between scientific leadership, advisory input, and participatory governance.

Steering Group

The Steering Group provides strategic oversight and governance of the Hub.
It ensures the programme remains aligned with its mission, ethical commitments, and long-term vision, while supporting coordination across research, policy and practice.

The Steering Group:

  • Oversees strategic direction and prioritisation.

  • Monitors progress against objectives and milestones.

  • Ensures ethical, inclusive and responsible research practice.

  • Supports risk management and long-term sustainability.

The group meets at key points across the hub’s lifecycle and operates independently of funders and commercial interests.

Policy Advisory Group

The Policy Advisory Group brings together senior representatives from government, regulation, health services and civil society alongside experts with lived and professional experience to ensure the Hub’s research addresses real-world policy needs and regulatory questions.

The group:

  • Advises the hub on policy relevance and timing.

  • Supports interpretation of findings for policy audiences.

  • Facilitates pathways to impact and implementation.

Youth Advisory Group

The Youth Advisory Group ensures that young people’s perspectives and lived experience are embedded throughout the Hub’s work.

Members contribute to:

  • Research priority-setting.

  • Study design and materials.

  • Interpretation of findings.

  • Public communication and engagement.

Safeguarding, support and ethical participation are central to the Group’s operation.

Collaborators & Affiliates

The Hub works with a wide network of academic, policy and third-sector partners in the UK and internationally, including collaborations across Europe and the United States. These partnerships support methodological innovation, cross-national learning and broader impact.
